El Paso Dentist Fights Tooth Decay With Annual Candy Buy Back Program
10.01.08—Operation Sweet Tooth, the candy buy back program that provided the Warriors in Transition Unit at Ft. Bliss with 150 lbs of donated candy in 2007, is back by popular demand! This year, Dr. Paul Ro, DDS is continuing his partnership with the Ft. Bliss USO with the hope of doubling last year's donation. Operation Sweet Tooth encourages a healthy lifestyle and the spirit of giving within our little ones while providing a morale boost for our troops.
Everybody wins, here's how it works: El Paso kids bring their Halloween candy to Eastside Dental Care on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 12p to 4p, Dr. Ro pays them $1 per lb. of individually wrapped candy, and the treats go to the USO and our troops at Ft. Bliss. Kids may choose to keep their buy back money or donate it back to the USO. Yolanda Castillo, Director for the USO-El Paso, may be reached for comment at 915.569.5644.
Due to last year's success, Dr. Ro and his team at Eastside Dental Care will be buying back candy through the month of November. A sincere Thank You goes out to all who helped us spread the word!
Eastside Dental Care Halloween Candy Buy Back
When: Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 12p to 4p.
Where: Eastside Dental Care, 1920 N. Zaragoza, Suite 107, El Paso, TX 79938, at Loop 375 and Zaragoza in front of the Home Depot.
Dr. Ro has been practicing dentistry in El Paso for nine years. A graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, Dr. Ro was formerly a dentist for the El Paso City/County Health Department. Dr. Ro opened up his private practice, Eastside Dental Care, in September of 2007 and has since become involved with several local non-profit organizations.
