Press Release:
For Immediate Release:

You're invited to prepare for the Election of a lifetime and view the new documentary about the voting rights and civil rights in the United States. This nonpartisan event is coordinated by the Voter Education Project Inc., in conjunction with the El Paso County Voter Consortium in partnership with the Texas Young Lawyers Association and hosted by The Percolator, Blackbird Concepts, and Villescas Research, Media & Instruction.

The Voter Education Project, Inc. has worked for two years to register, educate, and mobilize voters in El Paso County to prepare for the upcoming Presidential Election. This is an opportunity to reflect on the lifelong struggles of regular Americans who have fought, bleed, and died for voting rights and defense of our great nation. It is also a time to celebrate our diversity and view the women's suffrage movement and the struggle by Mexican-Americans, Latinos, Chicanos, Tejanos, and Hispanics in the ever-changing experiment in democracy we know as the United States of America.

This event is free and open to the public. Percolator Restaurant and Downtown Theater, 217 N. Stanton. Monday, Nov. 3 2008 - HOURLY

Come back on Tuesday, Nov. 4, for election coverage, debate and discussion.
