I created this video message in connection with my Round 2 Project: Report documentary, "Juarez: City at War" to bring to light a terrible tragedy that took place today:
Armando Rodriguez, crime beat reporter at the El Diario newspaper in Juarez, Mexico, was murdered this morning at the age of 40. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
While sitting in his car preparing to take his daughter to school, a gunman approached, fired on and killed him before escaping in a waiting vehicle.
Armando was widely regarded to be one of the foremost experts on organized crime in Mexico.
This is video message was created in remembrance of his work and in of protest his murder.
My heart and sincere condolences go out to his family.
As I get more information, I will post it here on how to get support to them.
